If today's "Stockpile Gas Price" was $1.50 and next summer you redeem when the "RedemptionStockpile Gas Price" is $4.50, we will send you a gas card worth approximately $30. With that $30 gas card you are able to buy 300% as much gas as you can for $10. That is how you "lock in" today's low gas prices. If gas prices go up, so will the size of the gas card you can redeem at anytime. Is it perfect? No! The value of gas may decrease which means the value of the product you are buying can decrease. It's like filling up your car on Saturday only to see prices fall on Monday. Also, we use an equation based upon national sales figures to determine the price of the "Stockpile Gas Price" and the Redemption Price. That means our price of gas may not correlate with your local gas market. If the national price of gas has gone up by 100% and the price of gas in your area has gone up by 110%, we still always use national figures to determine the value of your gas card. This can also work in your advantage if the national price goes up more than your local price. In that case you still get the amount determined by the national figures. The good news is that you can protect yourself from wild gas price increases.
